About This Project

Unlike the documentaries that focus on the cause and who’s responsible for the incident, <In the Absence> solely focuses on documenting the very site of 2014 April 16 ferry disaster with the footages of the scene and the records of phone calls. Through the demonstration of a tragic incident, happened while the rescue was abandoned, the film reveals that the nation was not there in the sea on the day.
