Barbara and Thomas are spending the summer holidays with their grandparents in the blacksmith’s shop ‘Under the Dragon Rock’, where the unusual helper, the two-headed little dragon, Smokey, works flat out. One day, the children discover an old map in the dragon’s cave and there Smokey begins to tell a story about the Dragon Kingdom.
